ContextBridge

Your AI context, everywhere.

A browser extension that carries your projects, preferences, rules, and decisions across every AI chatbot. No more repeating yourself.

The Problem No Platform Will Solve

Every new chat starts from zero

You switch from Claude to ChatGPT. Gone. Your tech stack, your coding rules, your project context, your decisions. You paste the same instructions over and over. Platforms want lock-in — they'll never share your context.

ContextBridge fixes this

  • Your context follows you across 12 platforms
  • Silently injected into your first message
  • Auto-detects context from your conversations
  • 100% local — nothing leaves your browser

How It Works

1

Capture

Add context manually or let ContextBridge detect it from your conversations. "I prefer...", "Always use...", "Working on..." — it picks these up and suggests them for approval.

2

Store

Six categories: rules, preferences, projects, tasks, decisions, people. Stored locally in your browser. Export and import as JSON. No cloud, no accounts.

3

Inject

Start a new chat on any platform. ContextBridge silently prepends your context to the first message. The AI sees it. You don't have to type it. Every subsequent message is normal.

What the AI Sees

Silently prepended to your first message in every new conversation

[CONTEXT START] ## Rules - Always use British English - Never auto-commit without asking ## Preferences - Short, concise responses - No emojis unless asked ## Projects - AI Shield: 71-module security framework, deployed - Ms. Sparkle: Financial literacy agent, v1.1.0 ## Tasks - Submit to NIST AI Agent Identity by 2 April [CONTEXT END] Hello, I need help refactoring the auth module...

Built for Privacy

🔒

Zero network calls. No servers, no analytics, no telemetry. Your context never leaves your browser.

💾

Local storage only. Everything in chrome.storage.local. Export as JSON whenever you want.

👁

You approve everything. Auto-detected suggestions require your explicit approval before becoming context.

Per-platform control. Enable or disable injection for each platform individually.

Chat normally — context is injected automatically

Open any supported platform and start a new conversation. Type your message and send it. ContextBridge intercepts the first send and silently prepends your context block. The AI sees it, you don't have to type it.

What gets sent
[CONTEXT START]
## Rules
- Always use British English
## Preferences

[CONTEXT END]

Hello, I need help refactoring the auth module...

Context is only injected on the first message of each new conversation. Every message after that is sent normally.

4

Let it learn from you (optional)

With auto-suggest enabled, ContextBridge scans your messages for patterns and suggests context entries for you to approve or dismiss.

"I prefer TypeScript" Preference
"Always write tests first" Rule
"Working on Project Atlas" Project
"We decided to use Postgres" Decision
"Need to fix the auth bug" Task
"Meeting with Sarah" Person

Suggestions appear as a yellow banner in the popup. Nothing is added without your approval.

5

Fine-tune in settings

Click Settings in the popup footer to:

• Toggle auto-inject and auto-suggest on or off
• Set max context length (500–5,000 characters)
• Enable or disable ContextBridge per platform
Export your context as JSON • Import from a backup • Clear all entries
